Introduction
Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory product. Paracetamol has analgesic & antipyretic activity. It is a weak inflammatory product. Aceclofenac generally works to inhibit the synthesis of the inflammatory cytokines interleukin -1b & tumor necrosis factor. It also inhibits the production of prostaglandins (E2).

Mechanism of action
The mechanism of action of Aceclofenac is to inhibit the functioning of Cyclo-oxygenase enzyme which is a catalyst (increases rate of reaction) for the synthesis of prostaglandins which is involved for the contribution of inflammatory cells response & for pain also.
Paracetamol works by two mechanisms of action as Analgesic by greater the pain threshold level & Antipyretic as inhibiting the effect of endogenous pyrogen by acting on thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus.
Pharmacological uses of Aceclofenac & Paracetamol
This combination is used as for a toothache, muscle pain, fever, cold, bones & joint pain, swelling, migraine, Rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Post-operative pain, menstrual pain etc.
Side Effects of Aceclofenac & Paracetamol
The adverse effects of aceclofenac & paracetamol are-
Nausea, allergic reaction
Skin rashes, diarrhea
Fluid retention, congestive heart failure,
Liver failure
Contraindication Aceclofenac & Paracetamol should be avoided to a pregnant woman because of the risk of having a patent ductus arteriosus in the neonate.

Diuretics (their effects decreased by the Aceclofenac)

Dosage-
Each tablet contains Aceclofenac 100 mg & Paracetamol 500 mg. The dose recommended is 1 tablet twice a day (BD) in the morning and in the evening, max 2 tablets. Don’t take Aceclofenac & Paracetamol without doctor’s prescription.
