Cefixime is a third generation cephalosporin used against extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) whereas Ofloxacin is associated with the group of antimicrobials that is fluoroquinolones & they are active against H.influenzae & S.pneumoniae.
Cefixime is a Third Generation Cephalosporin Antibiotic & Ofloxacin is the Second-Generation Fluoroquinolones class.
Mechanism of action
The procedure of working of Cefixime & Ofloxacin to prevent from bacterial infection is different from each other however the target of both these products is to protect the body against bacteria. Cefixime works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria & stop their growth & Ofloxacin works by restricting the synthesis of the nucleic acid of bacteria.

The half-life of Ofloxacin-9 hours
Rate may be decreased if taken with food. It crosses the placenta.
